Women Self Defense
Women Self Defense - Why Should Women Learn How To Defend Themselves Fast
I simply can't stand men brutalizing women. For me, VIOLENCE is the most primitive form of communication. That is why I want to help women to become FEAR-FREE from aggressive attacks by spouses, boyfriends and strangers through Wing Tzun - realistic self defense for women.
It has been my experience that many women in abusive situations have been beaten into a mind set that emotionally does not allow them to take the reigns in their hands and free themselves from their situations by learning how to fight back physically, mentally and emotionally.
Violence is never a front-line solution, but just giving in and taking abuse, possibly endangering your children as well in the process, is never a solution (either).
It's important to understand that legal avenue of redress are by their very nature too late. The police won't step in until you are actually hurt, (and) the courts won't step in until after the police come by.
Why wait until AFTER you got hurt? Learn to protect yourself now, and you will be ready when the time comes. There is help. Ask for women self defense courses in your area.
Look at the numbers. They are real scary:
- One rape or sexual assault occurs every two minutes.
- One violent crime occurs every five seconds in the U.S.
- 172 Women are physically and/or sexually assaulted every hour!
- 261,000 rapes and sexual assaults occurred in the U.S. in 2000.
- 90,186 forcible rapes in 2000 as reported to police.
- In the year 2000, 2.8 % of college women experienced rape in a six month U.S. Department of Justice study.
- Most sexual assault victims were victimized by someone they knew!
- One murder occurs every 34 minutes.
Scary huh? And I am not making that up. Those statistics above are from National Center for Victims of Crime - Year 2000.
Women Self Defense System Should Be Easy To Learn, But It Needs To Be Practised And Become A Instinct
"One-shot" or "weekend" self defense courses simply do not work.
By the time something happens to you, you will have forgotten what you learned - and there is no time to try and remember.
For many women, traveling home after an evening out can mean that they feel nervous and vulnerable, or even really afraid.
While the male of the species unthinkingly strides across the park at night, women feel they must stay close to crowds and lights.
Women assess the other passengers in the carriage of the train and either stay, sitting rigidly in a corner, or find another carriage that seems less threatening.
They enter their home cautiously, checking rooms for hidden strangers before going to bed with windows and doors locked and bolted.
The feared attack will probably never happen, but if You are unable to defend yourself, YOU must be ever-vigilant and cautious.
Wouldn't you like to 'reclaim the night'?
Learn to protect yourself today with realistic women self defense system
If YOU felt confident that YOU could defend yourself if attacked, YOU might at least be able to relax your vigil and enjoy yourself more - although, sensibly, YOU should continue to take the same precautionary measures that YOU do today.
Perhaps with this increased confidence more women would be out and about and the streets a less threatening place for all.
In our ongoing classes, we teach YOUR BODY what to do, and once your body knows how to react, it will always remember.
WingTzun is self defense developed by women for women, pure and simple.
It does not rely on strength and predetermined patterns of movement, but on an ingenious method of "controlled yielding" and constant, pro-active, forward energy that allowed its practitioners to literally feel out an opponent’s attacks, stick to his arms and legs, absorb his attacking power, and unleash it all back at him with accelerated fury.
Simply put that Wing Tzun is the best women self defense system in todays violent society
Rather than relying on the age-old tactic of trying to increase your own strength until it is superior to that of any attacker, Wing Tzun teaches you to literally "borrow" your attacker’s force in order to keep yourself out of harm’s way.
At the same time Wing Tzun training enables women to position their arms and legs in such a way that preemptive counterattacks automatically flow together with simultaneous defensive actions, so that a man with superior strength is prevented from ever using his size and power to his advantage.
This creates a structural advantage for the Wing Tzun practitioner that eliminates the need for second-guessing opponent’s intentions and his next maneuvers.
It is this need for second-guessing an attacker’s moves that is responsible for the typical "freeze up" resulting from mental/emotional overload when we are confronted with a real-life threat to our personal safety.
Wing Tzun training short-circuits this inhibitive mental process by "automatizing" the student’s reactions according to the actual power input from an attacker.
This frees our mind up to stay relaxed and aware, and capable of dealing with the needs of the situation at hand.
Special exercises in Wing Tzun called "Chi Sao" develop this kind of sensitivity from the very early stages of training, and slowly nurture and hone it to a very high degree.
In the advanced stages of training, a student often learns to "read" an attacker’s intentions almost before he himself becomes aware of them.
This may sound like some kind of science fiction or "martial arts fantasy" to most. But to even moderately advanced Wing Tzun practitioners this is an ever-present and evolving reality.
There is no doubt that this works. It is only a matter of time until you can make it work for you.
This is the very thing that allows higher level Wing Tzun fighters to literally fight blindfolded. Blindfolded "Chi Sao" practice is a normal component of Wing Tzun training.
A German Wing Tsun student, Sylvia Weisskircher, was blind from birth. She learned Wing Tsun for only a few years and now can hold her own with even the best of fighters, whether from Wing Tsun or from other systems.
It is also a proven fact that women often learn the principles and movements of Wing Tzun faster than most men.Making Wing Tzun perfecr for female self defense.
This is because women in general are "smarter" in that they habitually do not rely on their (brute) physical strength in trying to make a movement work. Wing Tzun teaches exactly that. Most men have a difficult time with the fact that, in the first phase of Wing Tzun training, they are literally asked to "lose their strength."
This, of course, does not mean that students need to become physically "weak" in order to learn Wing Tzun. They do, however, need to shed their habit of using or relying on their external strength too much when practicing and applying what they learn in class.
The normal progression of Wing Tzun training goes like this:
- Phase One: Learn to "lose" your own strength.
- Phase Two: Learn to lose your opponent’s strength.
- Phase Three: Learn to use your opponent’s strength against him!
It is this aspect of Wing Tzun training that makes it especially well suited for women who need to learn to fight back.
Women are often more intuitive than men in their approach to problem solving. In the end, Wing Tzun is nothing more than a "new" way of problem solving. You learn to solve the problem of (usually male) violence.
Developing the confidence, and the natural fighting spirit that goes along with that greater confidence is a natural part of Wing Tzun training.
Wing Tzun builds upon the student’s existing strengths to produce a more well-rounded, secure, and aware person.
I want females to "become the absolute nightmare of any future would-be attackers.
"Working on recovering your self-esteem after you have been abused is great but not enough. You need to be able to physically stop the violence if all else fails.
Everything depends on how much you put into your training. But Wing Tzun can literally set you free! (from fear of violence, from your own bad mental and physical habits, and from restrictive, counter-productive beliefs and attitudes).
Try it. You will be amazed at what Wing Tzun can do for you!
Our message to potential abusers:
"Better watch out!" You don't know if your intended victim is learning Wing Tzun or not! Hurting someone is no longer "free." Think again, because the price you might end up paying may be too high for you!
